The school website provides information about the school, events and celebrations that are part of school life.
St. Canice’s Boys’ National School is a Catholic school where children of other faiths are welcome. In our school we aim to create a community where the Gospel values of truth, justice, tolerance and compassion are fostered.
The school located on Glasanaon Road, our present site in 1971 and was refurbished in 2005 at a cost of €4 million. This newer school consists of 16 classrooms, 5 Resource/Learning Support Rooms, PE Hall, library, library store, Parent’s Room, 2 administration offices, general store, bin room and plant room. The school is situated in St. Canice’s Parish, Finglas East. Approximately one third of our pupil enrolment is from the home parish while the remainder of our pupils reside in the neighbouring parishes of Finglas West, Finglas South, Ballymun and Ballygall.
At Present 432 pupils are enrolled in the school with 16 mainstream teachers, 5 special education teachers, 4 SNAs, a secretary, a caretaker and a principal. St. Canice’s Boys’ National School is continuing its tradition of success in the academic, arts, cultural and sporting areas.
You are always most welcome to visit our school. Please keep an eye on our newly launched school website for news updates, calendar events, displays of pupil’s work and recently taken photographs.
