St. Canice’s BNS has recently set up a Student Council.

The Student Council was set up let us know what is working well in the school.  In addition to this our Student Council are also working hard at coming up with ideas to help improve school life for everyone in our school.  Our Student Council is made up of representatives from 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th Classes.  Pupils in these classes were given the opportunity to put themselves forward as a candidate for election.  Following hustings, each class then voted for their preferred candidate to represent them for this school year.  The Student Council meetings are chaired by Ms. O’Hanlon and their first meeting has been a great success.
