Over the past few weeks, our class has been busy with lots of fun and creative learning activities.
The boys really enjoyed playing ‘BattleSHAPES’ , where they practised their shape skills in an exciting and active way.
During Sports Week, the class went on an active walk to the park, and everyone loved getting outside to exercise and spend time together.
The children also created beautiful water lilies artwork inspired by Claude Monet, and they were very proud of the colours and details in their paintings.
Another art project involved exploring negative and positive space, where the class designed fantastic cartoon dogs using this creative technique.
We have also been getting into the spirit of the World Cup by taking part in activities based on it and learning about the different nations competing.
Our class has been very busy and having lots of fun in recent weeks. We made lovely Christmas decorations in the shape of cheerful elves, and we hoped they looked fantastic at home. After all our hard work, we enjoyed delicious hot chocolate together, kindly organised by Anne Marie. We also worked very hard on our procedural writing. We learned how to write instructions step by step and used action words to make sure the reader knew what to do. We wrote about how to make pancakes, cookies, milkshakes and much more. Everyone tried their best and we are very proud of the great work in our class!
We have had a fantastic start to life in 4th class! We’ve been hard at work, settling into our new routines. We are making the most of every opportunity in each of our subjects!
We have been busy working with our creative sides! We created beautiful ‘Autumn Landscapes’ that are bursting with colour, as well as our ‘Positive Portraits’ that showcase the kindness and positivity that lives in our classroom!
Reading has become an important part of our day with the boys diving into new books at each opportunity! Everyone has been developing their reading skills with the help of our school library and interactive tools such as the iPads.
To celebrate the flying start to life in 4th class, we enjoyed some time out on the pitch as the boys took part in an exciting football match, with everybody showing excellent teamwork and sportsmanship! We are excited to share all the wonderful things we’ll be getting up to throughout the rest of the school year!
